We were joined with this week’s HackJam: Jonathan Schipper from Gemsense, a wearable technology company from Israel. He gave a talk on 3D augmented environments and potentials of wearable technologies. Jonathan was at this years’ Hong Kong Maker Faire where he had given a presentation. We also learned of the vibrant maker scene in Israel which has about 2500 active members. After the talk we joined in on the demos.
Lio talked about his ‘Commodore 64’ that could be operated using a wifi module – displayed at this years’ Hong Kong Maker Faire. He talked about his creations during his time in Shanghai – most notably the machine operated chair that he created during his time there and also shared insights into hacker/maker spaces.
