Date/Time – Thu Mar 7 2019 – 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Following the success of our Take Apart sessions which are very popular with kids, Dim Sum Labs have started a new series of detailed tear downs of more complex devices, specifically aimed at adults. We’ll start with a HP Colour Laserjet 2600N.
We will tear it down as a group, walking through from how to carefully get into the casing to the functions of each component as we go – including common failure modes and issues.
Fee: HKD100 payable at the door (profits towards rent)
Please have more “Hardware take apart” workshop, can’t make it to this, but would like to attend future ones. Mainly interested in how to go from novice, to someone who can fix hardware, instead of buying a new one. Professional hardware fix cost is too high and hardware lifespan shortening all the time, i’d rather learn how to do it myself. (Side note: I have a broken wacom tablet, id like to know how to fix it)
Noted.
Tablets like phones, when it is a hardware problem, the inside is made of so tiny components that it can be very difficult to fix
